Checking Bidding Status Online
Mavin allows you to see the bidding status of all lots on our website before the start of floor bidding. The bidding status will be
updated daily once the catalogue is on the web. For mail bidders, we will inform you of the bidder or "paddle" number
assigned to you upon request if you include your e-mail address on the bid form. Your paddle number will not be divulged to anybody else.
You will therefore be able to check if your bids are below the reserve (it will simply not be entered) or if another mail bidder has outbid you
by checking whether it is your paddle number which holds the high bid. So, if you find you have been outbid, you still have a chance to fax
in further bids. Updating of the bid status will stop 24 hours before the auction, so as to minimize "sniping".
Please provide an email address so that we can email to you your bidder number which will enable
you to check the status of your bids online.
Bidding increments are at the discretion of the auctioneer, but will generally be as follows:
|$50 - $100||$5|
|$100 - $200||$10|
|$200 - $500||$20|
|$500 - $1,000||$50|
|$1,000 - $5,000||$100|
